In Simpler Times ...

I came across this photo online and I needed to share it with all of you. It had me thinking of "Simpler Times". If you look at the clothes she is wearing, the hairstyle she has etc ... How living in these times seemed to be so much harder, but so much easier - All at the same time. They had to do their chores my hand (no washing machines, no dishwashers etc ...) ... But then on the other hand, everyone lived the same. There were no big houses, no shiny cars etc ... No competition. Real Life. Real People. Sometimes I think (as I have mentioned before) I was "Born Too Late" ... I like these "Simpler Times" ... Family Time ... Not as hectic, as today. What does this photograph say to you?

Tulip Girl ...

Some nights I like to browse the Internet in search of the photograph that will speak to me. Some nights I find nothing at all, other nights I come across pictures like this. The signature at the bottom says "Sofi" but I have no idea where it originated from. I have had this as my screensaver, for quite sometime. I love how the tulip leans down and creates her skirt ... Love how she is not totally defined, but she is whole. Just love everything about it ... What captures your attention? A nice photograph? A painting? A song? I would love to hear your answers ...

Welcome to Bookland ...

Most people know that I am lover of books ... Fiction - Literature - Art - Photography Etc ... If you visit my home, you will find 2 large bookshelves that home my libraries ... I am currently working by way through CREATIVE IS A VERB by Patti Digh (I am going to meet her at a Writing Workshop next month) ... I will list a few of my favorites - I have to go with GONE WITH THE WIND as my favorite classic read ... My favorite childhood book is ARE YOU MY MOTHER by P.D. Eastman (Dr Seuss book) ... Now it's your turn - What are you reading now? What is your favorite book to grab for? What is your favorite classic book? What is your childhood favorite?

Thinking of Cooler Times ...

I thought I would post this picture today because it brings me back to a Cool Spring Day ... I loved this Photo Shoot ... I did not want to come home ... I could smell the freshly cut grass around me, the slightly hidden sun, the birds chirping and I was surrounded by these beautiful flowers ... It is amazing how certain days you can remember every sense - What you could smell, what you could hear, what was around you ... Do you have a picture that does this to you?

Being a Part of Roots of She ...

TODAY IS A BIG DAY FOR ME ... Jennifer from Roots of She (http://www.rootsofshe.com/self-love-warriors-the-program) was looking for "Self Love Warriors". In short, she was looking for people who have taken some time to find what really makes us happy and tell our story. I was chosen and I am part of this E-Book / Course. You can read more about the book / course with this above link. Thank you, Jennifer for making my publishing dream come true. ~Kristine

Sunday Scribbles ...

Last evening I came across an older art kit that had many markers - I wanted to make sure they all worked, so I kept trying each one by drawing scribbles, dots, numbers etc ... At first I was not going to post it, but then I wanted to show a "Fun Side" of me ... So here it is ... Fun little exercise ... Do you ever think of just using crayons again? Finger painting? Doodling?
