Beauty Resides ...

This quote had me thinking of how many wonderful people I have in my life that this statement could apply to. It is not the beauty of a certain place, it is the beauty of the person. It amazes me how some people can light up a room just with their smile. How others can make you feel at home just with their laugh. Childhood Essay for Poetry Friday ...

BIKE RIDING
As I rode my bike down the street, through the small path I remember the feeling of being free. I remember not wanting to go too fast, afraid that I would lose traction with the thin wheels that supported my 10 speed bicycle. Living for Autumn ...

If you have been following my posts, I am sure you have figured out that Autumn is my favorite season here in New England. Although, all the seasons bring their special moments, I love this one the best. I thought it was a perfect day to post this photo. I look forward to all these things mentioned above - Sweatshirts, hot cocoa (replacing lemonade), a reason to get out the boots, crisp air - Love it all. What is your favorite season and why? Is it Winter because you love to ski? Or Summer because you love to swim? I would love to hear from you!

Whimsical Wednesday ...

Roald Dahl has been a favorite author of mine since I was child. It is unclear to me when I first took a liking to his work. It could have been when I first read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach or The Big Friendly Giant. Whenever I came across this quote by him, I knew I had to use to for Whimsical Wednesday. Who is your favorite childhood author?
