Walking into a familiar place A smile comes across my face
Walking slowly, coffee in hand Looking around, to find a place to land
Settling in, setting my sights To focus on reading, at a table of light
So many others with piles of books Attention taken from me, and no more looks
So many authors, no little time Long aisles in front of me, time is on my dime
Research and write so many notes I need to put in the time and sow my oats
One day soon I hope to be known, Signing books as an author, all on my own

Lights & Lanterns ...

Some pictures I see, I wish I could claim that I took them ~ Like this one ~ How beautiful is this? The lanterns, the lighting, the curved lines etc ... I love photographs that bring me into the image ... It sort of feels likes a dream to me ... What do you dream about?

Heart Day ...

Today I am thinking about favorite things - Things that make me happy, take notice and smile - A beautiful photograph, an old fashioned painting, patchwork of childhood memories (like above), an old song on the radio etc ... What captures your attention, has you take notice and smile?

All about Friends ...

Today has me thinking about "Friends" ~ I found this photo and just fell in love with it. This little girl has her doll and her dog and she has a smile on her face. How many "True Friends" do you have? We all know many people, but how many would you say you had that would take your call at midnight? Be there for you during the good times and the bad? Friends who understand you? Friends who know you? I am anxious to hear from all of you ...

Laurie Justus Pace - Heart Art

I came across this incredible "Heart Artist" over the weekend and I wanted to share this piece of art with all of you. As many of you know, I am very fond of anything with a "Heart" - So this painting jumped off the page for me.

I am thinking of having a "Theme" for  few days a week on my Blog ... I am thinking out loud here  ... Perhaps one day a "Heart Day" (heart related post) and one day a Poetry Day ... and move forward this way ... Stay Tuned ... More on to come on this ...

Happy Labor Day Weekend, Everyone!
