Tiger Lilly Day ...

Happy Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend! It looks like a nice day here - Sunny and breezy! I thought I would use this Tiger Lilly photo because a great friend of mine, Sonja - mentioned she really liked this photo - Sometimes I am reluctant to post my own work, always wondering if I am choosing the right ones! I am grateful for any feedback and comments ... What is everyone plans for the holiday weekend?

Outdoor Fun ...

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! This weekend always reminds me of grilling, the weather is so much better, the sun shines brighter ... I picked this photo to post today because I saw these flowers from afar and I needed to photograph them ... If anyone knows what they are called, I would be open to knowing ... I found them fun and the "Kickoff to Summer" reminds me of just the beginning of outdoor fun ...

Let the Sun Shine!

Last evening, I was watching television and looking through the many photos I have taken over the years ... This was one that I felt I wanted to post for today ... Memorial Day Weekend always reminds me of the "Kickoff to Summer" ... Yellow always reminds me of Summer, especially after a lengthy Winter. Let the sun shine in!

Purple Paradise ...

I came across this Hyacinth and fell in love with its rich color. Purple has always been a favorite color of mine, but this shade sings to me. It puts a smile on my face. I wanted to photograph this flowering plant from the top so you could see its beauty from a different angle. I like seeing things in a different way, that is not the norm - But that is just me.

Maine Get-Aways ...

Happy New Week, Everyone ~ Memorial Day Weekend is on my mind ~ To me, this symbolizes the kick off of Summer ~ I always associate Maine with wonderful get-aways and this is where the above picture was taken. I took this on our way to Camden  and then we continued onto Boothbay Harbor. I started visiting Maine as a child, and I continue to seek out new areas in Maine - A place I hold very close to my heart.

Clarity in the Park ...

I was looking through last years Spring/Summer photos that I took, I thought I would use this photo for today's posting. This was taking in a park not too far from where we live. These were planted in memory of a local boys son that passed away. I met her when she  was planting them, and she told me the story of her son and everything he went through. I walked home not thinking of anything else other than the pain this family endured. I gained quite a bit of perspective that day. Some days we need clarity - I am thankful for meeting this woman. I am also thankful for this clarity.
