The Appeal of Sea Glass ...

As each Summer passes I find myself researching the beauty of Sea Glass. What is about these colorful pieces of frosted glass that are so appealing?

There are very few beaches along the New England coastline where you can find these rarities. I hope to visit a few beaches I have researched between now and the upcoming Fall season.

I would love to have a few pieces to call my own.

Does anyone else find these finds engaging?

    I love them too! I have found few but keep them when I do. I collected similar pieces from the sea when I visited Italy except they were pieces of ceramic, so beautiful! ~ Nancy :)

      Thanks, Nancy - Yes, I have always loved these beautiful pieces of glass - I hope to visit a few local beaches that are known for having some, before Summer comes to a close!

Love Story in Burlington, VT ...

It started the morning I decided to visit Muddy Waters (Coffee House) in Burlington, Vermont. I was told by the locals that if I was looking for a quiet place to write and enjoy a good cup of java, this was the place. I entered into a few different level rooms containing booths, cozy benches and chairs. After ordering an Iced Machiatto, I settled into a nice corner bench adjacent to a bookshelf. It was quiet, the perfect seat to get some reading done. My reason for spending a quiet morning here was to work through a few more chapters in The Artist's Way. All about Hope ...

I thought this image was appropriate for how I am feeling today. I seemed to have gotten a second wind with being creative this year. I am excited to tell you about my new treasure in writing. It is a newfound website (that I found in a column in Oprah's Nov 2011 magazine) called 750Words.com. This site follows the steps of Julia Cameron's The Artists Way. It helps you work towards a better writing style. It encourages you to write 750 words a day. This is approximately 3 typewritten pages of words. I am finding it easier to pick a theme (from Patti Digh's LIFE IS A VERB book - Thanks, Patti!) to help create daily themes. Please cheer me on to continue this daily ritual.  Have you started a new routine that you would like to share?
