Living In the Moment

Happy Friday .... I thought I would post this picture (as I have on Facebook) to show how I have a "Creative Corner" ... A place where I can go and grab some creativity, right off my bookshelf .... I hope to be inspired to broaden my interests this year, as I have mentioned in earlier posts. I would love to do Mixed Media, more crafting, more work with my own photographs ... Just be creative ... When and where I want to be ... Live in the Moment, as they say ...

I decided to go with this photo today because I remember what I wanted this photo to look like, framed in my mind when I was taking it ... Recently I have become friends with many other "Creatives" on Facebook ~ I have been seeing many different medias of art - Photography, Painting, Collaging, Art Journaling, Crafting, Sewing, Etc ... So many avenues to explore ... Sometimes I think of making a list of the hobbies I would like to try - Make a quilt, Create a painting, Learn to use a sewing machine etc ... So many new things to learn, never enough time ... What is everyone doing on this bright Saturday?

Last evening, after digging out after the 15 inches of snow  fell on most of New England yesterday - I found myself outdoors with my camera - Here are my wet jeans and my snow covered boots :) Even though I wanted to come inside, the beauty of being in a Winter Wonderland let me forget how chilly it truly was ... How many are done with Winter? How many are waiting for Spring?

Happy Sunday, Everyone ~ Weekends always have me thinking of enjoying that cup of coffee that seems to be rushed during the week ... Love knowing I have a bit more "time" on Saturdays and Sundays ... I have been thinking of what my 365 Project will bring (A picture a day, for a year) ... It will be great to look over my photos after a year to see what I captured ... Sounds like a lot of fun ...

Why is it - Every year I miss the beach more and more in the Dead of Winter? This is a photo that was taken on our St Martin vacation a few years ago ... This was my favorite shot ... There is nothing like a Carribean Sunset ... Thanks for checking in!

Every New Year makes me think of "Believing" - So I thought this photo was appropriate for todays post. I am hopeful for 2011, so I have to "Believe" it will be a good year ... I "Believe" it will be ... This bookmark reminds me to have faith - in a new day, a new year and in myself ...

Happy New Year to my Family & Friends! I am wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year ... It seems the past few years have been difficult for many families we know, and I am hoping 2011 brings happiness to all ... This week had me thinking in a creative way ~ I took on a new photography project, saw my Dad take a new life journey, and ended the week welcoming in a new year ... It is a new beginning, a clean slate, out with old and in with the new ... On many levels ...
