Letters Across the Miles ... A New View

Dear Jennifer,

I wanted to tell you that I  continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts regarding your Nana. I believe that "Time" helps us to heal. "Time" aids us to move on, rebuild and renew.

Congratulations on "FEAST OF WORDS" !!! ... Your home gathering of great company, writers, and making special  memories ... I so hope your dream of "Taking it on the Road" comes true - I would love to take part in your vision that has come to life ... I so wish I could have been there ... Please know that I was there, in spirit ... I would love to see pics of that night ... If you have some to share.

It was a real pleasure to see how you and Dustin enjoyed attending your first Mets game of the season - Nice that you both have the same vision, to see as many fields, as you can. Nice when we can find a common interest! (Loved your pic, By the way!)

Yes, May is our annual "Kick Off to Summer" Getaway to Maine ... We have been going to Maine during this time of the year since we dated. We love Maine - At times we try to research an area that we both have not seen before.  We have our favorite places, but we do like to mix it up a bit. Last year, it poured all weekend - So we made the best of it and went to Scarborough Downs
(To Watch Horse Racing)-  We really enjoyed ourselves ... I actually ended up winning 7 out of 10 Races !!! ...
The winnings were small, but picking the possible winners and placers made it great fun!

The photo that I decided to add to this weeks letter (under our Letters Across the Miles Pic) is that of my new office view. I am a few cubicles down from this window, but it is nice having a view like this, so close. We are located on the fifth floor, at times it looks like a moving postcard. People walking everywhere, heading to the train and bus stations below ... Thank you for wishing me good luck with my new position. I have to admit I am enjoying the work, the other coworkers and of course the feel of the city - There is such great energy with all the skyscrapers, businesses, and everyone on a mission to get to their destinations. It is something I never tire of ...

Please be sure to share some pics of your adventures on your bike ... I hope to get a bicycle this Summer or Fall. I believe I would love it, as much as you do. I am pushing for my husband to also get one, so we could bring them along on vacation or use the local bike path in our hometown -  I have not had a bike in so long ...

Glad to hear you are enjoying your porch - We installed a patio last Summer that we did not have a chance to enjoy - Looking forward to using it this year along with a few glasses of wine! LOL

Until the next time we chat ~ Sending you much love across the miles ...

xo

Love Story in Burlington, VT ...

It started the morning I decided to visit Muddy Waters (Coffee House) in Burlington, Vermont. I was told by the locals that if I was looking for a quiet place to write and enjoy a good cup of java, this was the place. I entered into a few different level rooms containing booths, cozy benches and chairs. After ordering an Iced Machiatto, I settled into a nice corner bench adjacent to a bookshelf. It was quiet, the perfect seat to get some reading done. My reason for spending a quiet morning here was to work through a few more chapters in The Artist's Way. (Julia Cameron's ~ Guide to Inspire Artists). Upon looking around, I noticed that there was a small, rolled up piece of paper tucked away in the brick wall behind me. At first, I was not sure whether to take it out and read it, or not. Perhaps I have seen too many "Candid - Punked" like shows, and someone was watching my every move. Pushing these paranoid thoughts aside, I reached over, read it and I was elated
