A New Season Upon Us ...

A New Season Upon Us
The days are longer

Sandals can be worn
Jackets can be put away
Birds can be heard chirping

Lemonade replaces hot chocolate
Ice cream stands are now open
Patios can be enjoyed yet again

People are out taking walks
Motorcycles are on the road
Car radios can be heard

Windows remain open
Children playing outdoors
Scents of newly mowed grass

Trips to the local pond
New outdoor photography
Writing poetry outdoors

Looking forward to more of this
And more

All about Hope ...

I thought this image was appropriate for how I am feeling today. I seemed to have gotten a second wind with being creative this year. I am excited to tell you about my new treasure in writing. It is a newfound website (that I found in a column in Oprah's Nov 2011 magazine) called 750Words.com. This site follows the steps of Julia Cameron's The Artists Way. I am finding it easier to pick a theme (from Patti Digh's LIFE IS A VERB book - Thanks, Patti!) to help create daily themes. Please cheer me on to continue this daily ritual.  Have you started a new routine that you would like to share?

At first, I was not sure whether to take it out and read it, or not. Perhaps I have seen too many "Candid - Punked" like shows, and someone was watching my every move. Pushing these paranoid thoughts aside, I reached over, read it and I was elated...
