Living In the Moment

I have been thinking of all the "Good Things" that have happened in my life recently ... This is a picture of my cat, Twigs ... She has passed away now, but she lived 12 wonderful years with me ... She saw me move to a few different houses, go through relationships, change jobs, through good and bad times - She was there - Every step of the way! She was an Amazing Baby ...

I have been thinking alot about "Believing" ... Believing in the people in my life ... Believing in myself ... Believing in what I do ... Believing in what I should be striving for etc ... Should I be a photographer? Should I be something else? I need to believe I am good enough to continue on this journey ... Today I thought I would ask - What do you find yourself believing in?

Today is the beginning of a new week ... It made me want to post a photograph with a softer feel ... I feel Spring in the air ... I cannot wait to get outside and start taking photos in the fresh Spring air once again ... What are some plans you have for the upcoming Spring Season?

Sunday Evening ... Ever since the New Year began I have been in creative mode ... I purchased this new art caddy, looked through alot of my art supplies, updated some items, through others away etc ... I feel like I am Spring cleaning, a bit early ... It feels great to be connecting with so many wonderful artists on FB ... I feel I am ready to branch out from photography and editing to art journaling ... This is my next adventure!

Saturdays ... Somehow they are the best day of the week for me ... The only morning, I can take my time and really enjoy a cup of coffee, perhaps watch a tv show that I had taped during the week or just flip through a magazine I have been meaning to look at ... Weekends will forever be cherished!

It is Friday evening as I type this ... I want to add more and more of my original photography to my page - It is a long holiday weekend, so I thought I would start with this picture from my birthday bouquet ... Turning this photo into black and white just made it more pleasing to the eye ... What is it about black and white? Just love it!

This is my "New Inspiration" ~ I have been trying to broaden my creative ways, so I purchased a Buddha Board (a board you can paint on with water and a paintbrush - and your image erases minutes afterwards, so you can create again ...). I am thinking of finding a special place in my office for it, so I can try new images, phrases etc on a daily basis! I have also been interested in mixed media and collage. I have ordered some books from many wonderful artiststs on Facebook that have gotten my creative juices really flowing! I am anxious to start to create ...
