Things I Have Learned ...

Photography by Kristine Things I have learned over the years … Going back to basics brings clarity Believe in yourself At times, you need to stand alone Stand up for those who do not have a voice Water intake is so essential  Magnesium calms the body  Listening to your intuition never fails  Let things go, they just weigh you down  Reading is a wonderful way to end the day  Pay attention to what your body is telling you  Time is the best gift that can be given  Moderation is key  Photography captures the moments that may have been lost  Silence reveals the answers you are search of  Nature is the best medicine  Choose your battles wisely  Listen to the voices of experience  Be a note taker when learning new things   Never stop dreaming  Be grateful for the small things  Good people share their knowledge  Never take anyone for granted  Tomor...

Milestones & Memories ...

Original Photography by Kristine  50 I reached this milestone birthday this month.  What have I learned in all these years? Who have I met? Who have I loved? Who have I lost? Big questions with so many answers. I hope I have learned at the pace I was intended to. I have met many amazing people over the years. I  have loved my family, friends, pets and all of nature. I had one of the biggest losses that I am still healing from but growing stronger with each passing day. I continue to love photography, music and writing. I plan to keep these interests for many years to come. I have plans to visit places I have never been. I also plan to write more about my personal experiences. Spend more time creating new memories through time well spent, writing and photography. What have you learned over the years?

Happy (Belated) New Year & Finding You ...

Photo Credit: (Pinterest) Shabby Art Boutique  Happy New Year!  Wishing all of you only the best in 2019.  I am  hoping these upcoming months will be ones of change and growth for all of us. Letting things go that no longer serve us. Knowing your worth.  Speaking your truth.  I am focusing on going back to basics. Taking a step back. Yes, Learning the basics teaches us a strong foundation in any area but at times we need to realize we need to revisit this space. To refuel. To move forward. To become whole. To find your own balance.  I plan to bring back more of my love of music, photography, and poetry back to my blog.  Visit with family and friends that I love.  Find my niche in a few different areas of my life.  How will you change and grow this year?

MY LATEST OBSESSION ...

MY LATEST OBSESSION!  I never truly realized how much music shaped my life throughout the years until I became a bit older.  I owe a huge thanks to my folks who introduced me to such amazing artists throughout my life. The songs that were played on the car radio as we drove to the beach.  The artists that were played on our hi-fi on eight track tapes.  The classics that were filtered throughout the house on Sundays mornings.  Sirius XM Radio has brought back all these songs in a special way. I have found a few channels that I have been listening to during my commute to work that have stood out: THE BRIDGE (James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, Simon & Garfunkel Etc) & THE BLEND (Phil Collins, Elton John, Billy Joel Etc) These two channels have the combination of classic and easy listening with a dab of soft rock thrown in. I highly recommend them.  I cannot tell you how much more enjoyable my commute has been while ...

A PANERA OUTING ...

Photography by Kristine  A PANERA OUTING  After work last week, I decided to visit Panera Bread. I truly could not remember the last time I did this, so I took this opportunity to make it an Artist's Date, of sorts  (Julia Cameron's (one of my favorite inspirational authors thought process  for  artists's outings that get you out into the world, doing what you love).  I brought along a book, a journal and my laptop. I had a fulfilling sandwich, delicious summer salad and a great tasting lemonade. This made it possible to wait out the traffic during rush hour and to avoid downpours that were coming through the area.  I spent some of my time catching up on podcasts that I have been falling behind on. I also caught up on researching books that I would like to add to future reads.  As I sat listening to my podcasts many tables around began to fill up. A young mother and her young son talking about his day at preschool. A woman that ...
