 Original Photography by Kristine THE BALANCED LIFE CULTIVATING YOUR CREATIVE LIFE JUST THINKING When I first started posting, I would wonder how others could be so honest in their writing. How could they allow total strangers into their lives with no reservations? I find myself knowing the answer to this question more and more as time goes on ... It is liberating, freeing. Shedding the layers that weigh us down. The feeling of being "lighter" ...  It seems certain times of the year, life becomes clearer. The two seasons that seem to affect me the most are Spring and Fall. Spring always feels like a renewal of sorts - Flowers blooming, Trees start to fill in, Birds are singing once more ... Windows are open, the fresh air smells clean, beautiful maintained lawns, etc ... Nature at its best ... Once we are through Summer, then comes my favorite season, Fall ... Lots to see and do before then ...

A New Season Upon Us  The days are longer Sandals can be worn Jackets can be put away Birds can be heard chirping  Lemonade replaces hot chocolate Ice cream stands are now open Patios can be enjoyed yet again People are out taking walks Motorcycles are on the road Car radios can be heard  Windows remain open  Children playing outdoors Scents of newly mowed grass Trips to the local pond  New outdoor photography Writing poetry outdoors Looking forward to more of this  And more 

As I left Logan Airport in Boston, I felt that I was opening a new window in my life. One of freedom. One of self-independence. I found my seat and settled in. The flight flew by and I was in Nashville before I knew it. I gathered my bags and headed to the outside passenger pickup curb. I was greeted with open arms by a friend that could easily be a Sister of mine. Before too long, I began seeing Nashville and Memphis signs on the highway. This was truly happening. A jaunt that was planned so quickly, felt more surreal by the moment. A quick re-cap of the tourist sites we took in were visiting the Grand Ole Opry Backstage Tour, Antique Archeology (American Pickers Gift Shop), Broadway (Street of Lights) and shopping in Downtown Franklin. The regular daily sites were just as fun - Meeting new friends, trying new food (and cream soda - Yum!), listening to live music, attended a going away party, shared in a friends brunch, and being serenaded by incredibly talented fiddlers, g...
