Today is a new day. A day of many new beginnings. I came across this photo online and it immediately made me smile. I am sure it stood out to me because I am a Photographer. It is not everyday you see a camera like this! What have you come across lately that has made you smile? Something in nature? A card from a friend? A sunrise? I would love to hear from you ...
I thought this image was appropriate for how I am feeling today. I seemed to have gotten a second wind with being creative this year. I am excited to tell you about my new treasure in writing. It is a newfound website (that I found in a column in Oprah's Nov 2011 magazine) called 750Words.com. This site follows the steps of Julia Cameron's The Artists Way. It helps you work towards a better writing style. It encourages you to write 750 words a day. This is approximately 3 typewritten pages of words. I am finding it easier to pick a theme (from Patti Digh's LIFE IS A VERB book - Thanks, Patti!) to help create daily themes. Please cheer me on to continue this daily ritual. Have you started a new routine that you would like to share?
That is a great pic...it certainly made me smile. I found some colorful magnetic numbers and letters in my shoes the other day. My 2yo loves to put them into things. Aaahh, the joys of childhood, it always makes me smile. xx

Great hearing from you, Dion - I am usually an earth-tone, burgundy and navy blue type of Girl, but I love bright colors that are unexpected, like in this photos ... Magnetic numbers and letters in your shoes? Now THAT would make me smile, also!
ReplyDeleteThis is a camera for a girl! Crazy bling! :)
ReplyDeleteYesterday I came across a chewing gum on a sidewalk, and that's usually a disgusting thing to see, but this one was heart shaped! An ugly things turned pretty (well, not actually). :) I do like to find pretty things in unusual places. Even if it's a bit too unusual. :)
This is really great. I also like it. Consumer class cameras offer you set lenses that can’t be taken out of the body of the camera.
