When I first read this quote, I knew I needed to put it into a blog post. It seems we hear so much negativity these days, that hearing kind words is like music to our ears. I can barely listen to the news while they report on such upsetting topics. A simple, "Good Morning" and/or "Have a great day" can turn someone's day around.
When was the last time you gave someone a compliment? From the lady at work, commenting on her new hairstyle - To the bank teller you see week after week, telling her how much you like the shirt she is wearing. It sounds so easy - So why do we not do this more?
When was the last time someone gave you a kind word?
love it! I'm going to add it to my first sunday of the month Kindness Chronicles post!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane .... I am honored you want to use this ... You made my day!
DeleteThis weekend was very emotional but during all the ups and downs, we all went out for breakfast...and didnt the lady who owned the Golden Griddle...stop me while I was taking my puddleducks to the powderroom.....she said.."I like your long sweater very much" "you look very nice so early in the morning" Well you know from saddness to instant flutter of my crusty heart..." I beamed a huge Thank you very much!!!" You are so right Kristine, kindness is the best medicine...♥Debi
ReplyDeleteHi Debi - I am so glad that "Kindness by Words" is being passed along and you were touched by it ... Always wonderful to hear from you <3
DeleteIt's very important to remember to share kindness. I often try to say something nice to people, even if it's just something like "you look nice today", or just a smile. And it always make people feel good and then makes me feel good. So little can mean so much! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sonja - Sharing kindness helps everyone - A smile, a compliment - Simple gestures that means so much!
