Puzzle Mania ...

I thought I would use a black and white photo today, to show another side of me. I like doing "word search" puzzles. I read in Health Magazine that any type of "puzzle" stimulates the mind, and keeps it sharp for later in life. What types of puzzles do you like? Crosswords? Find the hidden picture?

  1. If this isn't a professional photograph, I don't know what is! It looks like a photo from a magazine, or some book about photography. I really mean that. It is perfect in black and white. I just LOVE it! I love when I can "see" the story behind the photo, or should I say - when I can make up a story. For me, that's what art is all about - to make me feel good, and to "tell a story".
I am not that into crosswords and stuff like that, but I do sometimes like that thing where you search for words in all directions - I don't know how it's called in English :)

  2. I cannot thank you enough, Sonja ~ I feel that we would be the type of friends that could sit at a coffee shop and talk for hours ~ I so wish we lived closer ~ I would love to learn to weave, and I could show you photography ~ I am glad you really enjoyed this one ~ Yes, That is what I like "Circle a Word" ~ I have a few of those books ~ So glad we are friends!

  3. I am a total "word nerd" with crosswords being a particular favourite. I find crossword time helps to still my mind, to focus on one thing - it's very relaxing and also gives me a strange sense of achievement once I finish it!

Great photo BTW, lovely depth and balance of light. I love black and white!

  4. Glad I am not alone, Emily ~ I do like "word search", "Find something within a picture" etc ~ Ever since I read that puzzles are good to keep the mind sharp, I try to do them when I can ~ Yes, Focusing on one thing is relaxing ~ Thanks so much for all your nice words ~ B/W is a favorite of mine, but only with certain shots! Safe travels - I would love to hear about your trip if you have a spare moment ...
