Whenever I come across pictures like this - I seem to have so many questions like, Who's camera was that? What is inside of that old trunk? Where was this picture taken? What type of house did these people live in? What did they do for a living? What gives you the desire to ask questions like these? An old house? An old barn? I would love to hear your stories ...
I thought this image was appropriate for how I am feeling today. I seemed to have gotten a second wind with being creative this year. I am excited to tell you about my new treasure in writing. It is a newfound website (that I found in a column in Oprah's Nov 2011 magazine) called 750Words.com. This site follows the steps of Julia Cameron's The Artists Way. It helps you work towards a better writing style. It encourages you to write 750 words a day. This is approximately 3 typewritten pages of words. I am finding it easier to pick a theme (from Patti Digh's LIFE IS A VERB book - Thanks, Patti!) to help create daily themes. Please cheer me on to continue this daily ritual. Have you started a new routine that you would like to share?
The most interesting for me are the archeological sites. I always think of people who might have lived there, and so many questions come to my mind - were they happy, how did they live, how did they die, so many questions! The past is so intriguing, I wish I could find that time machine already! :))
ReplyDeleteSonja - This is EXACTLY how I feel - I am always wondering, Was this family happy? Did they have a good marriage? Did they laugh a lot? We are so alike - A bit too much alike - If there is such a thing - But I love it!
ReplyDeleteKeep that imagination moving....wonderment oh reality is jealous...love the photo, thank you
ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear from you, Prudence - Yes - Wonderment keeps our minds reeling - I am all about the questions - These pieces have such stories to tell!
