Whimsical Wednesday ...

When I came across this collage, I knew I needed to use it for Whimsical Wednesday. It includes many shots of things I love - Hearts, Nice Photography, the Ocean etc ... I love how each picture has such beautiful "Light". I think this is the Photographer in me that is always looking for this aspect. What do you look for in life that speaks to you? A cool breeze? Autumn leaves that will start blowing around? What catches your attention? A sunrise/sunset? the way the air smells after rain? I am looking forward to hearing from you ...

  1. Gorgeous collage! Your question made me think, and I guess I look for shapes and texture. That's what I notice first. Maybe it's because my work is all about shape and texture. But everything around me can be interesting, even the most common things.

  2. I am with you, Sonja - I seem to walk around with a "Frame" and I try to think what would this building, statue, landscape look like as a photo. I am also all about shape and texture - Again, Sisters think alike ... It has to look and feel a certain way to catch our attention ...

Love Story in Burlington, VT ...

It started the morning I decided to visit Muddy Waters (Coffee House) in Burlington, Vermont. I was told by the locals that if I was looking for a quiet place to write and enjoy a good cup of java, this was the place. I entered into a few different level rooms containing booths, cozy benches and chairs. After ordering an Iced Machiatto, I settled into a nice corner bench adjacent to a bookshelf. It was quiet, the perfect seat to get some reading done. My reason for spending a quiet morning here was to work through a few more chapters in The Artist's Way. (Julia Cameron's ~ Guide to Inspire Artists). Upon looking around, I noticed that there was a small, rolled up piece of paper tucked away in the brick wall behind me. At first, I was not sure whether to take it out and read it, or not. Perhaps I have seen too many "Candid - Punked" like shows, and someone was watching my every move. Pushing these paranoid thoughts aside, I reached over, read it and I was elated
