A Photo Year in Review

It's Christmas Time ...

Here are the Two Versions of Christmas Cards Sent Out This Year ... They were both photographed last year, during a get-away trip with my Mom. They were taken in Woodstock, NH ... It was a Winter Wonderland during our entire weekend stay ... The first was taken driving out of a Ski Resort through the car windshield. The images in the background are of ice sculptures. At times, while I photograph, I "try" things and hope for the best - This was one of them! The second being of The Wilderness Inn in Woodstock, NH. The Innkeepers were delightful, the accommodations were cozy and the food was amazing! Year End, Has always been a time of reflecting on the past months - What have I done? What can I improve on in the upcoming year? What would I like to do in 2015?  I would love to hear your answers to these questions ... Merry Christmas & A Happy Holiday Season To All ...

The Best Thing You Can Do ...

I have been finding quotes on PinTerest lately that have caught my attention. This one literally jumped off the page and seemed it was written just for me. This is where I have been recently. I am realizing I need to leave my fate in a greater powers hands. I wonder where I will be in weeks and months to come. I need to stop thinking. Stop wondering. Stop imagining. The only thing I can do is ... BELIEVE. Believe in where I am at  In what I know  In myself  I find that life deals out a hand that does not always play out in the way we imagine it. I use that not in a negative way, but in truth. We work through these times, in hope that our inner strength will carry us through. We are heading towards the end of another year. As many of you know, I do like "Turning the Page" and starting again. It is a chance to begin again. A clean slate. To start anew. I have yet to choose "My Word of the Year" (a word that I carry with me throughout the year to i...

Why Not Have a Big Life?

WHY NOT HAVE A BIG LIFE? ~Emily Dickinson Do you feel you "Have A Big Life"? I photographed this plate while visiting a great friend in Nashville this past year.  It had me thinking for days afterward- What does this truly mean? At times I feel having a big life could mean flying to a far away country -  Other days, enjoying a great tasting cup of coffee from my favorite coffee shop is satisfying As I get older, I realize the beauty in the smaller things -  The hazy morning sunshine, a gentle breeze or a new flower blooming in the yard Does it mean living comfortably? Does it come down to living a meaningful life? Or as simple as living a life that makes you happy? This is only one of the reasons Emily Dickinson is a favorite of mine ...   This could mean different things to different people. What does this mean to you?
