A New World ...

A NEW WORLD

Take me to a new world …
Show me a different adventure …

Guide me to a new land …
Lead me down a creative path …

Introduce me to a new friend …
Ask me to try something new …

Help me create a new memory …
Sing me a brand new song …

Paint me a picture with many colors,
Include me with my Sisters and Brothers

Tell me we will relive it again, Someday …
Bring me into a new world … Today

  2. Thank you, Sonja - Thank so much - I have decided that all the photos in my blog are ones that I have taken - At first, I was going to use a mixture of pics I liked etc - But it is more personal to use my own work ... I need to write to a post explaining that I want to share my poetry in this blog, along with writing posts - Not to confuse anyone ...

  3. Kristine, the best thing you could do is to connect the two, sharing your skills and your talent! Very personal, and I love it! Why else do we blog? It's about sharing our thoughts and feelings, and offering inspiration to others :) Keep doing that! ;)

Love Story in Burlington, VT ...

It started the morning I decided to visit Muddy Waters (Coffee House) in Burlington, Vermont. I was told by the locals that if I was looking for a quiet place to write and enjoy a good cup of java, this was the place. I entered into a few different level rooms containing booths, cozy benches and chairs. After ordering an Iced Machiatto, I settled into a nice corner bench adjacent to a bookshelf. It was quiet, the perfect seat to get some reading done. My reason for spending a quiet morning here was to work through a few more chapters in The Artist's Way. (Julia Cameron's ~ Guide to Inspire Artists). Upon looking around, I noticed that there was a small, rolled up piece of paper tucked away in the brick wall behind me. At first, I was not sure whether to take it out and read it, or not. Perhaps I have seen too many "Candid - Punked" like shows, and someone was watching my every move. Pushing these paranoid thoughts aside, I reached over, read it and I was elated...

Picture Frame Friday ...

So, These are the benefits of having your own blog - Usually, On Fridays it is Poetry Friday but I wanted to change things up a bit. I thought I would write regarding a question I have been asked quite frequently these days. How do I decide the a photo is worth taking? Or how do I know that it will be a good shot? I came across this photograph (above) and thought this would be perfect to help me explain. Many times I have an imaginary frame in my mind of what I want my photo to look like. Off to the left a bit, off to the right, etc - I also tape the LCD display before I go out shooting. I learned this years ago, and it has really improved my work.  (It keeps me shooting - An average shoot on any given day is approximately 100 shots.)This way, I do not waste time checking photos. It forces you to save that work for when you return home. This way, you are not deleting pictures that may please you on the computer, but not in the camera. Hoping these tricks and tips help you,...
