Having Faith ...

It always amazes me that I seem to come across something meaningful when I need it the most. Lately, I have been thinking about "Faith". The past few years have tested my faith. I find comfort in knowing I still have it. On some days, I wish I had more of it to give. Faith seems to be very prominent in my life at times, and other times it is clouded. I like the times that it shines so brightly that it blinds me. This is when I feel completely whole. What keeps your faith alive?

  1. Dear Kristine - Let me first tell you that I enjoy your art very much! I am so happy to find your blog today and get to say hello!

1 To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see. ~Hebrews 1:11~

My faith is kept alive as I know The Lord is always working on my behalf. I may not be able to see it - But he is there!

In a world that is just a bit on the edge that is a great comfort!

    Blessings!

  3. Dear Kristine~ My faith is always in motion. Like the weather, it's not so easy to predict on any given day. But , even when there is just the smallest glimmer, I always believe God is watching over our fragile planet .

Over the years of my life I can see the ways God has transformed what would look to be someting dreadful into another story of redemption.
This helps to keep my faith alive.

My beloved family keeps my faith alive.

Faith is about knowing to love, even if your heart could be broken.

    * Blessings and Peace * to a dear lady.

Love Story in Burlington, VT ...

It started the morning I decided to visit Muddy Waters (Coffee House) in Burlington, Vermont. I was told by the locals that if I was looking for a quiet place to write and enjoy a good cup of java, this was the place. I entered into a few different level rooms containing booths, cozy benches and chairs. After ordering an Iced Machiatto, I settled into a nice corner bench adjacent to a bookshelf. It was quiet, the perfect seat to get some reading done. My reason for spending a quiet morning here was to work through a few more chapters in The Artist's Way. (Julia Cameron's ~ Guide to Inspire Artists). Upon looking around, I noticed that there was a small, rolled up piece of paper tucked away in the brick wall behind me. At first, I was not sure whether to take it out and read it, or not. Perhaps I have seen too many "Candid - Punked" like shows, and someone was watching my every move. Pushing these paranoid thoughts aside, I reached over, read it and I was elated...

Nashville Travels ...

As I left Logan Airport in Boston, I felt that I was opening a new window in my life. One of freedom. One of self-independence. I found my seat and settled in. The flight flew by and I was in Nashville before I knew it. I gathered my bags and headed to the outside passenger pickup curb. I was greeted with open arms by a friend that could easily be a Sister of mine. Before too long, I began seeing Nashville and Memphis signs on the highway. This was truly happening. A jaunt that was planned so quickly, felt more surreal by the moment. A quick re-cap of the tourist sites we took in were visiting the Grand Ole Opry Backstage Tour, Antique Archeology (American Pickers Gift Shop), Broadway (Street of Lights) and shopping in Downtown Franklin. The regular daily sites were just as fun - Meeting new friends, trying new food (and cream soda - Yum!), listening to live music, attended a going away party, shared in a friends brunch, and being serenaded by incredibly talented fiddlers, g...
