One Year Anniversary Post & a Give-Away ...

Today marks my One Year Blog Anniversary ~
It has been a wonderful year of meeting new artists, painters, photographers and crafters.

I have made many new friends on this journey ...

I have received many compliments on the above photo,
so I thought I would have a fun give-away. This is to show my appreciation for all your support of my photography and writing over the past year.

I am giving away the above photograph
(my original photo, accented in Photoshop) as a 5x7 print.
Please leave me some comments of "love" and I will be picking a winner on Wednesday, November 30th.

This is my first give-away and I am so excited about it ~
Hoping to hear from many of you!

  2. One year--I'm impressed. Just starting the third month myself. What I've discovered I love about this blog journey are the connections to other artists and creative spirits I wouldn't have met otherwise. I'm lovin' the cyber art community!

  7. What a beautiful accomplishment ... The first year ... of many!

I love the print. I takes me back to the those magical days of wonder and possibility that happened when a new box opened, and 64 crayons peaked out into the world.

Thanks so much for the inspiration.

  9. Hi Kristine,
Oh my, I just saw this post over on FB! Glad I caught it to join in! Yes, this picture caught my eye, too! It is beautifully expressed.

I enjoy your blog for many reasons and one different one is that I love the font that you use. Anytime I see someone go outside the box, I get excited! (Well, except for the picture where the crayons stayed in the box but the whole box is different!!!) ;)

Congrats on your one year...it is so nice to have met you on FB...here's to many more...

    Peace,
    Karen

A YEAR IN PHOTO COLLAGES ...

Love Story in Burlington, VT ...

It started the morning I decided to visit Muddy Waters (Coffee House) in Burlington, Vermont. I was told by the locals that if I was looking for a quiet place to write and enjoy a good cup of java, this was the place. I entered into a few different level rooms containing booths, cozy benches and chairs. After ordering an Iced Machiatto, I settled into a nice corner bench adjacent to a bookshelf. It was quiet, the perfect seat to get some reading done. My reason for spending a quiet morning here was to work through a few more chapters in The Artist's Way. (Julia Cameron's ~ Guide to Inspire Artists). Upon looking around, I noticed that there was a small, rolled up piece of paper tucked away in the brick wall behind me. At first, I was not sure whether to take it out and read it, or not. Perhaps I have seen too many "Candid - Punked" like shows, and someone was watching my every move. Pushing these paranoid thoughts aside, I reached over, read it and I was elated
